NEEDHA Directory Now Available On-Line

You all know and, I hope, use and appreciate the very valuable
NEEDHA Directory of Electrical and Computer Engineering Departments,
which is distributed annually.

I am pleased to report that this Directory is now available on-line,
at the NEEDHA Web site.  There is a link to it toward the top of the
NEEDHA home page,  http://www.needha.org/.

At your earliest convenience, please check the entry for your
department -- the data, from the printed 1995-1996 directory, is
almost a year old (except for a few departments that served as beta
testers).  Use the editing form to submit corrections and updates.

Note that the on-line directory has places for more information than
the printed version; even if the information in your entry is accurate,
it is not complete.  So check out the editing form.

Our plan from now on is to keep the on-line directory up to date
continually, and to use its data once a year to prepare the printed
directory.  In a few weeks, you will get a letter from the NEEDHA
office explaining various ways of updating your directory entry in
time for the 1996-1997 directory.  The preferred way is to use the
on-line editing form, which you can do as soon as you want.
