Directions from hotel to Workshop site: The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Workshop location in the Engineering Building on the VCU campus. Turn right on Main St. when leaving the hotel and look for the tall building with a pyramid on top. That is the Engineering Building.
What to bring: Each attendee should bring copies of material prepared to date which relate to implementation of Criteria 2000 and the ABET self study. Examples include educational goals and objectives, constituent input, related curriculum development activities, assessment plans, assessment results and analyses, summary reports, etc. Participants should be prepared to make a brief presentation regarding their C2k status, self study, and visit preparations.
Format: Participants will be organized into small groups with a facilitator who is experienced with respect to Criteria 2000. Separate groups for the classes of 1999 and 2000 will be organized. Within each group presentations of each program status will be made and best practices will be shared. The afternoon session will be organized around topics which have been identified during the morning session as needing additional attention.
