Guests gather for walk to Riverview Room at Jax Brewery for demonstration and lunch provided by the New Orleans School of Cooking

Our guests will learn of the food and folklore of New Orleans during this entertaining 3-hour class. The New Orleans School of Cooking and the Louisiana General Store are located in a renovated molasses warehouse built in the early 1800s in the heart of the French Quarter.

Fun is a primary ingredient in the kitchens of this school, and the Creole / Cajun experts season their teaching of New Orleans specialties such as gumbo, jambalaya, and pralines, with history, trivia and tall tales!

After lunch you are invited to stop back at the New Orleans School of Cooking's store where you can purchase spices and ingredients used in menu items presented during the demonstration. Guests will have the afternoon free to explore the French Quarter or return to the Omni Royal Orleans for a relaxing afternoon before the evening's festivities begin.
