Accreditation

A topic of great importance to ECEDHA members is accreditation of their programs.

ECEDHA cooperates with IEEE and ABET, who hold a workshop for those involved with program evaluation in conjunction with the ECEDHA Annual Meeting.

ECEDHA also runs workshops each year for those facing accreditation visits the following year. The first one was held June 8, 1999 with healthy attendance every year.

Awards

ECEDHA has presented two awards at its annual meetings:

The Robert M. Janowiak Outstanding Leadership and Service Award

. . . to a member or former member of ECEDHA who has provided substantial leadership and service contributions to the Association

The ECEDHA Innovative Program Award

. . . to a department or individuals that have developed and demonstrated an innovative program in EE/ECE/EECS education

Electrical and Computer Engineering department heads from various regions have formed groups for the purpose of exchanging information. The following regional organizations have met, with varying degrees of formality. Time is also set aside at the annual ECEDHA meetings for the regional groups.
