Tune into this webinar to learn how to use the COMSOL Multiphysics® software for modeling capacitive devices.

From designing tiny MEMS actuators to fencing off large electrical installations, electrostatics simulations are important in many different applications.

In this webinar, you will learn how to model capacitive devices with COMSOL Multiphysics®. You can analyze the electric fields alone as well as simulate their interaction with other physics, including heat transfer and structural mechanics. We also discuss examples such as capacitors, electrostatic actuators, touchscreens, and microphones. In a live demonstration, you will see how to extract a capacitance matrix from a set of conductors.

You can ask questions at the end of the webinar during the Q&A session.

Magnus Olsson joined COMSOL in 1996 and currently leads development for the electromagnetic design products. He holds an MSc in engineering physics and a PhD in plasma physics and fusion research. Prior to joining COMSOL, he worked as a consulting specialist in electromagnetic computations for the Swedish armed forces.

Valerio Marra is the marketing director at COMSOL in Burlington, MA. Previous roles include working in applications, technical support, and sales. Valerio received his PhD in fluid machines and energy systems engineering.
