Product Overview

Managing large student groups in a teaching environment can be difficult, complicated by the variety of workbenches and instruments in use. In order to address this challenge, Rohde & Schwarz offers the CDS campus dashboard. This single software package considerably simplifies the teacher’s workflow by enabling control of the students’ workbenches and instruments either individually or simultaneously as a group. CDS allows the teacher to provide identical conditions for all students, through arranging the instruments on virtual benches that can be customized to match the user’s laboratory layout. The easy-to-use software can also run simultaneous firmware updates on multiple instruments with just a few clicks. 

Grouping several instruments into multiple virtual benches gives a clear overview of the laboratory in the software interface, including the status of each individual instrument. 

An automated search detects all supported instruments in the local network, making the initial setup process easy and fast. Alternatively, an .xml list of individual instruments can be loaded into the software. 

The CDS campus dashboard remotely controls up to 300 individual instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and power supplies). Lab managers, tutors, students and professors equally benefit from its excellent usability, simplified workflows and automation capabilities.

Rohde & Schwarz FPC1500 with the FPC-Z10 Teaching Kit

Product Overview

Teaching kit R&S®FPC1500 – an affordable spectrum analyzer with the value of three: spectrum analysis, one-port vector network analysis and signal generation RF teaching kit – a universal board with a transceiver, DC/DC converter circuitry for EMI troubleshooting and an onboard calibration kit for network analysis. Lab sheets with step-by-step exercises for the teaching kit, to equip students with practical skills in operating test and measurement instruments. R&S®InstrumentView includes an educational feature called “Lab” that can help professors conveniently manage, monitor and assist students with their measurements from a central or remote location.                                                      

Rohde & Schwarz NGE100 series

Product Overview

What sets these power supplies apart from others in their class? All channels are galvanically isolated and earth-free. All channels are electrically equivalent with the same voltage, current and power. Parallel and serial operation with protection functions to safeguard instrument and DUT. Tracking and link functions and a remote control via USB interface and optional LAN or wireless LAN, unique in this class. 

Protection functions to safeguard instrument and DUT Multipurpose protection functions are not standard in power supplies in the basic class. Here again, the R&S®NGE100B power supply series raises the bar. For each channel, users can separately set the: Maximum current (electronic fuse, overcurrent protection, OCP) Maximum voltage (overvoltage protection, OVP) and Maximum power (overpower protection, OPP)

Rohde & Schwarz RTB2000 Series Oscilloscope

Product Overview

The RTB2000 is the perfect tool to teach students how to measure with an oscilloscope. With the “power of ten” (10-bit ADC, 10 Msample memory and 10.1” touchscreen) and a smart operating concept, it provides users with a powerful, modern platform. The 10.1’ screen is perfect for showing online demo lessons that are conveniently loaded on the oscilloscope. 

With the RTB2000, a single instrument can be simultaneously used by several students, and reports are easy to create with the handy and flexible screen annotation tool. In addition to having the largest screen in its class, the RTB2000 offers other standout characteristics. Its 10-bit A/D converter delivers a fourfold improvement compared with conventional 8-bit converters, resulting in sharper waveforms with more signal detail that would otherwise be missed.
