Discussion on the State of IoT Education
Professor Ricardo Sanfelice (UCSC) and Sanjeev Datla (CEO of Machinechat) will be discussing the state of IoT curriculum in universities and IoT applications from the industry standpoint. This discussion will highlight unique industry perspectives and how academia is preparing students for the industry. How is IoT taught in the classroom? What is the industry looking for and how are graduates building/deploying actual IoT applications?

Benefits of a Hybrid Approach to Teaching Digital Logic
Professor Rania Hussein from the University of Washington will be discussing her groundbreaking work in the creation of Project Beadle (in partnership with Intel SPG). Project Beadle is an open source coursework teaching Digital Logic to students from the 9th to 12th grade. Learn about her work in developing this coursework and how it can be deployed at low cost to students from disadvantaged communities around the planet.
