We are excited to share a free, self-paced, e-learning course,

The Inventors Patent Academy (TIPA) for ECEDHA members!

Inventors, patent experts, and diversity, equity, and inclusion leaders share step-by-step advice in three modules. Learn about intellectual property, the patenting process, and how to work with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

- Learn on the go, on your mobile device, anywhere – anytime

- Listen to insights and empowering success stories from real inventors

- Track your progress with certificates of completion issued after each module

This resource will help pave the way for a new generation of inventors from diverse backgrounds, encouraging further innovation and creation. If you don’t know where to start, this course is a great first step in fostering innovation and understanding the foundational knowledge you need about the patenting process.

What to Expect

This free course is divided into three 2-3 hour learning modules and is presented in short, digestible lessons that can be completed at your own pace. The course will teach you how to patent your own inventions and prepare you for potential challenges on your patent journey, particularly the systemic barriers that affect historically underrepresented inventors.

Expertly Made

Invent Together and Qualcomm created TIPA to give you the tools and knowledge you need to patent your inventions and give insight into the patent system. It features real inventors and was made by patent holders, patent practitioners and DEI experts like Bernard Greenspan & Erin Kelley. TIPA is linked on the USPTO website as a resource for patent education.
